The Club has announced that it will hold two Championship races in 2015. One will be a Sprint event and the other a Middle Distance event.
For the third year running the Sprint Championships will be held at the Newbury Triathlon. The date is yet to be confirmed but is usually on the first weekend in September.
Club Chairman, Rupert Griffiths explains: “We are returning to Newbury because it is a very well run event that is local for our members. It is also a course that has something for everyone. It’s one that the seasoned competitors can attack but at the same time very beginner-friendly with a short pool swim, a rolling bike leg and a completely flat run.”
The Club Middle Distance Championships returns to the Cotswold 113 on Sunday14 June. This race is based at Ashton Keynes between Swindon and Cirencester.
Rupert Griffiths commented: “We held our second Middle Distance Championship at the Cotswold 113 in 2014 and it was a big success. It offered seasoned long-distance triathletes a PB opportunity, and we saw some fantastic times but being a flat course it also encouraged some first-time competitors at this distance”
