We are delighted to announce that our popular, annual sprint distance triathlon will be back again in 2016. We will be running an Adult event in the morning and a Children’s event in the afternoon. The date for the race is:
Sunday 10th July 2016
Entries are now live on the Triathlon England website and can be accessed below via the links on the sidebar to the right of this page…
If you haven’t done this event before read what previous entrants say about the event on the Runners World Forum.
Once again we will be based at Farleigh School which is set in 60 acres of magnificent parkland and landscaped woodland. The race will be professionally chip timed and race entry managed by Triathlon England.
The swim for the Adult, Youth and Junior events will take place in the 22m Indoor pool. The adult race is a 440m swim (20 lengths), the youth event is 264m (12 lengths), with the juniors completing a swim appropriate for their age group.
The adult cycle will once again take to the quiet, undulating country roads that surround the school and pass through some of the pretty surrounding villages such as Stockbridge and The Clatfords. Click here for a map of the adult bike course.
The Youth and Junior competition cycles take place within the grounds of Farleigh School – so no traffic. These routes are all shown below and will be posted on the day at registration. These are all on grass so wider tyres are recommended and tri bars will not be permitted.
The adult route will leave the confines of the school grounds and takes full advantage of the stunning local scenery and quiet roads of the local villages. A water station is available out on course. Click here for a map of the adult run course.
The Youth and Junior runs, will take place within the traffic free environment of Farleigh School grounds. These routes are all shown below and will be available on the day at registration. Run distances are:
TriStart – 600m
TriStar1 – 1.2k
TriStar2 – 1.8k
TriStar3 – 2.4k
